Thousand Oaks, Calif. (Jan. 10, 2013)–Mike McMaster, president of Wilshire Home Entertainment in Thousand Oaks, has become a Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) Registered Outreach Instructor (ROI). As a CEDIA instructor, McMaster can now provide approved continuing education training credit for architects, builders and interior designers.

To become a CEDIA instructor, participants must have successfully completed course work and a peer-evaluated presentation session.

McMaster will be presenting “Understanding Current Home Technology and Infrastructure Options” at a free breakfast and course presentation on Thursday, February 14. The course is approved for continuing education credit by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC), the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

“Collaboration among architects, builders, interior designers and electronic systems integrators (ESIs) such as Wilshire Home Entertainment, is crucial to the success of any project, regardless of size and complexity,” says McMaster. “Working together produces the best possible outcomes in advanced home entertainment, design and technology for the homeowner.”

The February 14 ROI course will provide a comprehensive overview of current technologies available in today’s connected homes. It will be held at Wilshire Home Entertainment (1412 N. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks). Breakfast will be at 8:30 a.m. with the presentation beginning at 9:00 a.m. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Chris Woolman at 805-497-1179, ext. 271, rsvp@wilshirehe.com.
